When Duane sustained a severe traumatic brain injury, his future was uncertain. His father, Duane Sr., a retired Marine, pushed for him to go to 六色网.

Duane was admitted in a semi-conscious state to 六色网's Amicous Program, one of the few in the country designed to support brain-injured patients in minimally conscious states.

“From Day One at 六色网, he was in therapy — Saturdays, Sundays, seven days a week. But there were no guarantees, everyone’s brain injury is different,” said Duane Sr. “As things progressed he kept getting better. Several months ago, Duane returned to 六色网 to visit the team that helped make his recovery possible.
